I'm not quite sure but I think that she said that this door was from Bali. It might be from elsewhere in Indonesia. She also said that she thought that it was hundreds of years old. Judging by the amount of wear and how weathered it looks, I think that is probably correct. To me, it is certainly very old. There are plenty of photos. I have not found another one like it on the internet.
Not including the post like protrusion on one corner, it measures close to 59 1/8 inches tall by 19 5/8 inches wide by 1 ½ inches thick. The post like protrusion adds close to another 4 1/8 inches to the height. It weighs close to 29 pounds 10 ounces. There is a relatively modern piece of wood attached to the plain side to make it easier to hang on a wall. The elderly woman said that it was made from teak and I believe that is correct. It feels relatively heavy and looks relatively dense. The photos where the color is more brown and less purplish represent the true color best. Different monitors or screens are likely to show different colors. The condition is much like you see it in the 57 photos after the general description. There are signs of age and wear that looks to me like it took many years to create. I see two small areas in the design where it looks like there are old breaks that you can see in the close-ups of the area. The door is made from two pieces of wood that have apparently been joined with wooden pegs. There is a little play in the joining so that one piece of wood can be moved a little relatively to the other. There are some cracks in the wood. There is some dusty soil. In one of the close-ups you can see a tiny amount of what looks paint. Otherwise, this door is generally fine and as shown. My photos should give you a good idea of its general condition.
I guarantee this door to be as described and represented by the 57 photos after the general description. The photos are part of the description. Please look at all of them.
Please know that the lighting in my photos is uneven and that there might be shadows or reflections. The colors on my monitor look close to but not exactly like the actual colors. Different monitors may show different colors. 57 photos should load with this listing. The item "Ancient Very Old Antique Hand Carved Teak Wood Door Bali Indonesian w Birds" is in sale since Friday, November 1, 2019.
